The Lord Who Heals

by Jonathan Doctor

Jehovah Rapha is one of the Hebrew names of our Father God, it means THE LORD WHO HEALS. We have a God who heals, restores, redeems, nothing is too hard for JEHOVAH and nothing is impossible! When we call on Him for healing He will answer and heal us. He will not turn us away, because of JESUS, God Almighty accepts us and treats us as the righteousness of God.

That’s Good news and we have a Good God who sent forth His word and healed us. His word will not return void it will accomplish that which He pleases. God is a Good Good God and it is His Good pleasure and will to heal and to protect your health.

Jehovah does not change
Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I do not change;

Jesus does not change

What he did He will still do
Healing is the will of God
Matt. 8:2-3 2And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Psalms 103:2-5
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 42:11, …who is the health of my countenance and my God.

Matt. 6:10, 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
( Is there sickness in heaven?)

Jesus Christ is the manifested will and word of God.
John 1:1, 14; In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (14) The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

John 4:34, 34Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

John 5:30; I do not seek, My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

John 6:38 8For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me

John 8:28-29; 28Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” (Healing pleases the Father)

John 14:24, …the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

God and His will are good.
Psalm 107:1; 1Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Eph. 1:5, 11, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. (v 11) In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

Romans 8:28, 28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose
Jesus came to:

John 10:10, I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
1 John 3:5, 8, And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. (v.8) 8He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. To destroy = to undo, or make of no effect.

Acts 10:38, 38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
We have a covenant of healing and divine health.

Exodus 15:26, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Exodus 23:25-26; 25“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

Deut. 7:14-15, 14You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. 15And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who you.

Doing all the commands of God is the righteousness requirement to receive the promises of God.
Deut. 6:25, 25Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us.’ (There are over 600 laws)

Deut. 27:26, 26‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law.’“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”

James 2:10, 10For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Galatians 3:10-11, 10For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”£ 11But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”

I have good news. Jesus is our righteousness.
Heb. 7:22, 22by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

Heb. 8:6, 6But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Ehp. 2:12-13, 2that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the of Christ.

2 Cor. 1:20, 20For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God …

Romans 8:3-4, 3For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Romans 10:4, 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 5:19, 19For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

1 Cor. 1:30, 30But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

2 Cor. 5:21, 21For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Gal. 2:16, 16 “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
