Biblical Prayer

The Results of Prayerlessness

Ÿ         Prayer can do anything God can do.

Ÿ         Prayer is Omnipotent.  Prayer is Omnipresent

Ÿ         There is no distance in prayer.

Ÿ         We must Pray, so God can Do, If  God is Omnipotent, and Omnipresent,  then prayer is omnipotent and Omnipresent.

Mark 9:23 NLT …“is possible if a person believes.ž”

Matt. 19:26 NLT Jesus looked at them intently and said, “speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.ž”

Matt. 18:18-19 I tell you this: Whatever you prohibit on earth is prohibited in heaven, and whatever you allow on earth is allowed in heaven. 19 “also tell you this: If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

John 16:23-24 The truth is, you can go directly to the Father and ask him, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

Mark 11:24 Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it

James 4:2-3 yet the reason you don’t have what you want is that you don’t ask God for it. 3 And even when you do ask, you don’t get it because your whole motive is wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

Matt. 7:7-11 NKJV “, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 “everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 “what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 “if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 “you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Ÿ         With these Promises why don’t people pray more?

Ÿ         God is looking for Intercessors, people who will pray. (Isa. 59:16  2 Chron. 16:9        2 Chron. 7:14)

Ÿ         Prayerlessness is sin (1 Sam. 12:23)

Ÿ         Reasons why people don’t pray

1.      They have no fear of the Lord. (Job 15:4)

2.      They lose their delight in God (Job 27:10)

3.      They have no knowledge of God (Psalms 14:4)

4.      They become weary of God. (Isaiah 43:22)

Ÿ         Prayerlessness is rebellion, it is refusing to submit to God, it is rejecting God. (James 4:7)

Ÿ         Results of Prayerlessness (Job 21:14-21)

1.      They lose counsel (vs. 16)

2.      They lose the light that God gives. Instead they have darkness. (vs. 17)

3.      They lose their protection (vs. 17-18)

4.      No forgiveness or mercy. Wrath instead (vs. 20)

5.      No blessings for him or his house. (vs. 21)

The Results of Prayer

Ÿ         The Will of God is governed by Prayer. (Ezek. 36:37 1 John 5:14-15)

Ÿ         Prayer destroys Satan’s plans (Psalms 56:9  James 4:7 )

Ÿ         When we pray we submit to God, than the devil will run.

Ÿ         If  you are not delivered from the trouble, it is because you have not called upon the God  who delivers (Psalms 34:6,15,17 Romans 10:13)

Ÿ         Prayer brings deliverance (Psalms 102:19-20)

Ÿ         Movements in heaven are restricted by movements on the earth. (Matt. 18:18)

Ÿ         Because of prayer God will cause you to walk  by the Rivers of water and cause you to walk in a straight way and you will not stumble. (Jer. 31:9)

Ÿ         Prayer will turn the worst conditions around  (Lam 3:52-58 Jonah 2:1-2,9-10)

Ÿ         Prayer to God changes things, it removes burdens. (Psalms 40:12-16)

Ÿ         Prayer brings and maintains the anointing God has given us.

·        Prayer and intimacy with God is the key to fulfilling your calling.

Know who you are while praying

Ÿ         Ephesians 1 -  declares who we are, Pray from your position.

Ÿ         We are what the Word says we are, weather we look like it or not, weather we feel like it or not

Ÿ         We are seated in heavenly places at the right hand of God, In Christ, far above all.

Ÿ         We are blessed (vs. 3)

Ÿ         We are Chosen (vs. 4)

Ÿ         We are predestined (vs. 5)

Ÿ         We are to be holy (vs. 4)

Ÿ         We are to be blameless (vs. 4)

Ÿ         We are adopted (vs. 5)

Ÿ         We are accepted (vs. 6)

Ÿ         We are redeemed (vs. 7)

Ÿ         We are forgiven (vs. 7)

Ÿ         We are justified

Ÿ         We are wise, we have all wisdom (vs. 8)

Ÿ         We know the Will of God (vs.9)

Ÿ         We have our inheritance (vs. 11)

Ÿ         We are sealed with the Holy Ghost ( vs. 13 )

Ÿ         The minute you know who you are, you become a mighty weapon of Righteousness for God against the kingdom of darkness.
